AmeriGel® Wound Dressing's mechanism of action is to decrease cell membrane permeability, proliferate proteins to the wound and promote development of granulation tissue growth. Oakin® in AmeriGel combats infection, reduces wound bioburden and provides an antimicrobial barrier to prevent infections. AmeriGel® Gauze pads deliver continuous moisture to the wound site, absorb mild to moderate exudates and provide an antimicrobial barrier to prevent wound infections. The use of Oakin® helps to breakdown necrotic tissue, promotes granulation development and reduces bioburden. AmeriGel® Post-Op Surgical Kits are packaged with the necessary products for post-op care to increase patient compliance. Each kit contains one AmeriGel Wound Dressing (1 oz.), one AmeriGel Wound Wash (4 oz.), 30 fabric bandages and 30 gauze pads. AmeriGel® Care Lotion's conditioning properties were developed to restore lost moisture, promote natural healing and soothe rough, dry irritations. AmeriGel's exfoliating properties remove dry skin build up as the Oakin® fight against bacteria and fungus causing irritations and rashes. Amerigel® Wound Wash is a preserved, non-sterile electrolyte solution used to irrigate wounds and moisten gauze dressings. The Wound Wash provides patients with pain-free removal of bacteria and debris without harming new granulation tissue development. |
